❓ What’s your role at GB Skips, and what does a typical day look like for you?
I am a Commercial Account Manager. My day-to-day responsibilities include managing client accounts, arranging site permits, handling new enquiries, and supporting ongoing projects. I also assist with reporting for GB Nationwide and have a good understanding of the marketing side of the business.

❓ What do you enjoy most about working at GB Skips?
I enjoy the strong sense of teamwork and being able to see how our services directly support the progress and success of new sites.

❓ How long have you been part of the GB family, and how has your role evolved?
I joined GB Skips in July 2024 as an Administrative Assistant, and since then my role has progressed into a Commercial Account Manager position.

❓ What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about your job?
Alongside learning about the waste industry, I’ve gained a great deal of knowledge from my clients. Coming from a background working with luxury beauty brands, the waste industry was completely new to me, so it’s been a valuable learning experience.

❓ What’s the most rewarding part of helping our customers and keeping sites running smoothly?
The most rewarding part is seeing a project through from start to finish and knowing I’ve contributed to its success.

❓ If you could describe GB skips in 3 words, what would they be?
“ Challenging, rewarding and a journey.”

❓ What’s your go-to drink or snack to get through a busy day?
A Coke and caramel latte.

❓ Do you have a memorable moment or funny story from your time on the job?
It’s more of a running habit — I often make up random words while working, which usually creates a good laugh within the team.

❓ When you’re not at work, how do you like to spend your time?
I enjoy spending time with my family. As the youngest of five siblings, I especially love embracing my role as an auntie to nieces and nephews ranging from 18 years old to just 11 months.

❓ If you could swap roles with someone at GB skips for a day, who would it be and why?
I would choose Dave, our Transport Manager, as there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work involved in his role beyond just routing drivers, which I’d be interested to experience for the day.
